Writing a marimba solo for Polish marimbist Katarzyna Mycka was especially challenging for me,
since I tried to compose it in a typically Polish way, influenced by composers such as Frederic Chopin.
The piece was premiered by Katarzyna Mycka at the Perkusja Festival, Warsaw, 2002.
